Findings· 3
  • Normal sinus rhythm interrupted by short bursts (3–30 beats) of wide-complex tachycardia.
  • The VT runs terminate spontaneously with return to sinus rhythm.
  • Rate during bursts typically 140–200 bpm.
Clinical Impact

In structurally normal hearts, often benign. In patients with structural heart disease (ischemic cardiomyopathy, HCM), NSVT is a risk factor for sudden cardiac death and may warrant ICD implantation or EP study.

Differential· 2
SVT with Aberrancy

Both are wide complex tachycardias. SVT + BBB has preceding P waves and typical BBB morphology.

Polymorphic VT

Both ventricular tachycardias. Polymorphic shows changing QRS morphology beat-to-beat.
